the usual routine, and somewhat of a treat, which he also deserves.
Natural is best and these easy recipes are basic and inexpensive.
We have suggestions for an oil free face wash that doubles as an exfoliant as well.
However, it can be very effective, to start with an oil-based cleanser and follow with a
soapy or milky one.
When choosing a soapy cleanser, it is important to make sure it has a pH balance of 4.5 to 5.5 .
You don’t want excessive sebum to form when your skin’s pH balance is stripped.
Sebum (oil) helps lubricate, heal, protect, and moisturize your skin.
Most men do not like oily products, although, fact is, that oil gets broken up by oil.
Here we outline some oils that can be used as a facial cleanser.
Oils like Olive oil, Castor oil, Avocado oil, Evening Primrose oil and Grapeseed oil are all water soluble, which means, it dissolves in water.
Because olive oil is a heavier oil and might cause slight breakouts, we suggest that you use it in moderation when using it to mix with other oils.
Olive oil is ideal for use on a dry skin.
After cleansing it is important to wipe off all impurities that might have been missed during the cleansing process.

Milk-based Best Face Wash for men
½ cup Oatmeal
2 tbsp Plain Yogurt
Mix and apply to face while lightly scrubbing off dead skin cells.
Remove with warm water.
Both ingredients contain special properties that won’t dry out the skin.
Best Face Wash for acne prone skin
1 aspirin, crushed
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp honey
Mix all ingredients well until the aspirin is dissolved.
Apply to skin and leave on for 2 minutes. This will penetrate the pores for a deep cleanse.
With circular motions, scrub lightly and remove with warm water.
Best Face wash for men (oil-based)
(Choose from: Olive oil, Castor oil, Avocado oil, Evening Primrose oil, Grapeseed oil)
Suggested ratio: 75% of one of the oils mentioned above to 25% olive oil.
50/50 – When combining some of the other above mentioned oils.
60% castor oil, 20% jojoba oil and 20% grapeseed oil.
You can also add tea tree oil, which is a great antiseptic and treatment for acne.
You can play around with mixing more than two different oils to see what best fits your skin type.
To make the cleansing process more effect, apply a warm cloth to your skin for a few seconds,
prior to cleansing, to open up the pores.
Mix your combination of oils and massage your skin, removing all impurities.
Remove by again applying a warm cloth to your skin for a few seconds and gently wyping off all acces oil.
1 part Apple Cider vinegar mixed with 3 parts Aloe vera juice
1 part Apple Cider vinegar mixed with 3 parts distilled water
The exact ratio will vary according to your skin type.
Use more water for dry skin and more Apple Cider vinegar for oily skin.
Apply with cotton on clean skin.
It is important to but back moisture.
The most importent ingredient should be a good sunblock.
Invest in a good moisturizer that includes sunblock of at least SPF 30 .
Many moisturizers contain certain types of synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances and parabens.
It is best to avoid these.
Make sure your moisturizer includes Vit A, E and C as these anti-oxidants help in prevention of ageing.
Luckely there is many moisurizers on the market for men, without the girly smell.

Keep to a balanced diet, rich in vitamins and nutrients that will help your body function fully.
